A modern product for a traditional fishing technique. Long lining fishing is a speciality of the Cherbourg Peninsula.


The lines can be up to 1200 metres long. A fleet of some fifty small boats from Barfleur and Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue practise this method of fishing drawing the line through the strong currents to catch sea-bass and hake.
As this fishing method is not so commonly used, it is hard to find suitable quality ropes, with limited stretching and capable of being coiled in tubs without getting tangled up.
Thanks to our knowledge of the history of the trade, we have developed a modern product for this traditional technique.
